I was very skeptical about this given I wasn't a huge fan of "Ragnarok" and I heard a lot of mixed things but I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked "Love and Thunder", it's basically Taika Waititi doing a Marvel film by way of Terry Gilliam and he has a fantastic time doing so.
I really liked Hemsworth, Portman, and Thompson's dynamic in the film and I thought the characters were the most fun to be with in a Marvel film in a very long time. Bale is having a blast as the villain and I think he does an incredible job as always. He truly is one of the best actors of all time. Russell Crowe was hilarious, honestly!
I do think the biggest issue with this is the pacing which goes a little too fast and seems to not fully explore as much as "Ragnarok" did but the journey itself is a blast and I had a lot of fun with it. I would like more Marvel films in this vein.
What else can I say? I had fun and in the end, that's always a good thing.
