The Man Who Would Be King 1975
An entertaining buddy adventure of a couple of white dudes with delusions of grandeur. For whatever reason, I was expecting something more serious, so the comedic tone (particularly in the first half) threw me off initially. However, it's not unlike movies such as Barry Lyndon or Parasite where you first watch a successful con that eventually completely falls apart. It helps that the two characters are quite likable despite how scummy they actually are, and Connery and Caine have great bromance chemistry.

Truly fucking insane, like if Cronenberg and Verhoeven co-directed Black Swan but even that doesn't do it justice. Kind Hearts and Coronets 1949
Unironically the best hitman movie, with razor-sharp dialogue and perfect pacing. The dark humour has plenty of bite, even by today's standards. The kills were clever, varied, and perfectly suited to each victim. Despite how deplorable of a character Louis is, so full of entitlement and hypocrisy, it's amazing how the movie kept me on "his side" the entire time by showing just the right amount of humanity.
