Baby Reindeer shows exactly how to approach a radically subjective and sensitive topic without making a monolith out of its narrative by staying true to Donny's experience. Through Donny's experience of rape, stalking, and understanding sexuality, a very dimensional character is represented that isn't flattened or extended by making generalizations about everyone's experience of rape, stalking, or assault (an unfortunate misstep I have seen in so many pieces of media about victimhood).

The dichotomy between the campy, overacted late-night-isms and the “behind-the-scenes” meltdown could’ve been made more impactful by some more subtlety between that intended for the screen and the unintended.
