Thamires has a BA degree from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), and is currently a Master’s candidate in International Education Policy Analysis Program at GSE. She started her career in the social impact field, supporting social entrepreneurs across different countries such as Brazil, Colombia, and India. She was Product Lead at Fundação Estudar, managing upskilling and reskilling products for college students.
In the last years, she focused her career on the improvement of k-12 public education in Brazil, mainly supporting innovation and technology solutions in the public ecosystem. First as Operation Manager of QEdu, one of the biggest educational data platforms in the public sector, and later on as Innovation Coordinator at Lemann Foundation. At Lemann, she managed technology and innovation large-scale programs for public schools in partnership with Lego Foundation, MIT, and Imaginable Futures. She also led one of the first large-scale research with families during the school closures scenario in Brazil, in partnership with Datafolha and Fundação Itaú Social, to help different players in the public sector.
