Tassia Cruz is a PhD in Social Sciences, Humanities, and Interdisciplinary Policy Studies in Education (SHIPS) - Economics of Education - Admitted in 2011, completed in 2015. Before going to Stanford, Tassia worked for the World Bank in teacher incentives impact evaluations, early childhood programs and classroom observation methods in Latin America and the Caribbean, working mainly with Brazil. She received a BA in Economics from PUC-Rio. Some research projects that Tassia is currently working are on teachers’ labor market in Brazil, on the use of online platforms to aid the teaching of Mathematics, and on racial discrimination in Brazilian elections.
