Priscilla Bacalhau is a PhD candidate in Economics at Sao Paulo School of Economics Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV). She holds a Master's Degree in Economics (completed in 2013 also at FGV), and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at the Federal University of Pernambuco completed in 2010. She has prior professional experience as a researcher at non-profit institutions, such as Instituto Unibanco and Insper, and serving as a consultant for several non-governmental organizations and governments in Brazil. Her research focuses on economics of education, monitoring and impact evaluation of public policies. She is currently studying high school and youth, access to higher education and its effects on the job market in the medium-term.
