Leonardo Monasterio is a researcher at the Institute of Applied Economic Research Ipea in Rio de Janeiro, a professor in the graduate program of Economics at IDP in Brasilia, and a researcher at the National Research Fund (CNPq). He earned a PhD in Economic Development from UFPR in 2002 and served as a Visiting Scholar at Cambridge University, the University of London, and UCLA. During his career, he has also held the positions of Coordinator of Public Policy Evaluation at Ipea and Director of Data Science at the National School of Public Administration (ENAP). Leonardo's current research interests include the impact of automation and the long-term effects of immigration.
