July is a PhD candidate in the Psychiatry Program at Federal University of São Paulo. Her research is focused on the brain modulation technique called neurofeedback, through which it is possible to use feedback to produce operant conditioning of the brain. Her BA is in Psychology and her Master’s degree is in Psychosocial Process, Health and Psychological Development, both from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. She is a co-founder of Sina-Psi: Serviço Integrado de Neurociência Aplicada e Psicologia (Integrated Service of Applied Neuroscience and Psychology), which was awarded with Prime: Primeira Empresa Inovadora (First Innovative Bussiness) from Finep (Financier of Studies and Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology from Brazil) to entrepreneurs with the most innovative business plan. She is also co-author of ProA cognitive assessment software. Her research interest is in brain education and technologies and also on the development of innovation and technology for educational and health fields. As a visiting scholar researcher at Stanford, her research focused on psychophysiology of learning.
