Eduardo is a Professor at Escola Politécnica at the University of São Paulo (POLI-USP). He is a Mechanical Engineer and earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. Before joining the university, Eduardo was a project manager at Bain & Company. His international academic background includes experience in Germany (research assistant at RWTH Aachen University between 2005 and 2007), in the US (Visiting Scholar at Stanford Graduate School of Education in 2015), and in Ireland (Visiting Professor at Trinity College Dublin in July 2016). At POLI-USP, Eduardo created and coordinates laboratories to promote innovation and entrepreneurship (INOVALAB@POLI, Ocean USP-Samsung, Fábrica do Futuro 4.0). In these initiatives, Eduardo gained extensive experience in establishing R&D cooperation agreements with partners from the industry. Eduardo is the author of journal papers and filed patents. His main research interests include Design Processes, Advanced Manufacturing, and Engineering Education, focusing on Design Education.
