Allison Hirata graduated with a Joint MA Education/MBA degree from Stanford University in 2016. He is a currently co-founder of a mobile-first Brazilian-based Education startup, while working remotely from his current home in Boston, MA. Previously, he was a product leader in different Education startups such as Chegg and Udacity, as well as Educational initiatives within companies. Prior to his time at Stanford, he helped co-found and lead Product at the early stages of Letrus, an impact-driven Brazilian literacy startup. He also co-founded B8 Educational Projects, a Brazilian educational nonprofit organization which organizes local chapters of International Scientific Olympiads, and fosters science education in the country. Since 2007, thousands of students have been impacted by the program. Previously, Allison worked in management consulting, and had a brief stint at the Sao Paulo State Department of Education. Allison earned his Master's degree in Engineering at Ecole Centrale de Lille (France) and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil).
