This is a list of minor characters that have appeared in the webtoon.
- See also: List of characters, Unnamed characters
Many of these characters have been mentioned by name in the story, but have yet to play a significant part. Characters who are given profiles by the author Currygom in the printed volumes will be moved from this article and given their own article.
Characters are listed in order of mention/appearance.
Mao[]
Mao is a Death magician who is at first only mentioned as Claude Yui's substitute who maintains the Death barrier in Claude's absence. Her magician ranking is 101.[1] She later appears during Airi Yui's visit to her comatose brother and hands her some paperwork Claude wanted her to see.[2][3]
When Claude awakens, she tells him about the note she gave to Airi, but he cannot remember asking for such a thing.[4]
When Rindhallow falls under attack, Mao tries to alert Claude that the Death barrier is broken, and finds him with a bloodied face and a stupid grin, so she takes over the barrier orb. She tells the others to contact the Temple of Darkness, the Magicians Guild, and the Universities of Magic.[5]
When Claude attempts to use Leez's visit as an excuse to leave his post, Mao and other priest candidates attempt to stop him and give chase.[6]
Sairofe children[]
The four children of Ran Sairofe and Rana Reimia first appear in the story in Season 3.
- The firstborn is Anne, first mentioned in Episode 3-4. Kubera fans also saw a sneak peek of her during the year-long hiatus between Seasons 2 and 3. She is said to be smart and diligent. She strongly admires Saha On.[7] Anne was born in the 3rd month of N17.[8]
- The twins are Kan and Ten, who first appear in Episode 3-2 playing on the beach with Leny. The boys are mischievous, and they think of their dad as strong but having less than ideal magic skills.[9] Both twins were born in the 10th month of N18.[8]
- The youngest is Rim,[9] nicknamed Rimi. She was an unexpected addition to the family, and Rana somewhat resents her for preventing her from returning to work after the older children started school.[10][9]
Leez the Cat[]
Leez the Cat is a green female cat with two tails that Kaz Lehn bought for Leez Haias as a birthday present in N15. But since a tragedy befell Leez's village and Kaz had assumed she was dead, he kept the kitten, who then grew up into a lovely cat.[11] It has been hinted that the cat has Yaksha sura ancestry, although over generations it has degenerated to the point that this can hardly be recognized.[12] Despite having no stages of development, items meant for suras can still be used on it, even if to no effect.[13]
Leez the Cat seems to do whatever it wants most of the time and frequently runs around and gets lost. It is not potty trained. When Kaz used the Eye of Perishment on it,[12] the cat began to act mysteriously, passing through barriers, getting lost at suspicious times and to suspicious places, and suddenly displaying the ability not to pee wherever. However, this behavior receded during the expedition to Konchez.[14] She accompanied Ran Sairofe and Maruna to the place outside of time.[15]
Kyle Florussi[]
Kyle Florussi is a magician with a high position in Rindhallow. He is the brother of Erin Florussi.[16] Erin gave Tatia his business card in case Tatia needed sponsoring.[17] Tatia passed on this business card to Leez Haias. Kyle was surprised and reluctant to sponsor Leez but eventually accepted.[18] After learning Leez's identity, he passed on the task to Erin.
Kyle appears to have strong faith in the gods and believe humans to be inferior to them.[6]
Chloe[]
Chloe is a fifth stage upani and the half-brother of Cloche and Clophe. They share a rakshasa mother, but while Clophe's and Cloche's father is a nastika, Chloe's was a rakshasa.
By D875, Chloe was over 5000 years old and he dedicated himself to caring for his siblings and helping them develop, raising them on a planet in the human realm. His bond with Clophe was especially strong since Clophe had trouble developing.
When the galaxy they lived in was destroyed by a suicidal nastika, as all upanis, Chloe focused on helping the rakshasas evacuate. It has been implied that he never returned.[19]
Artram[]
Artram was a priestess of Creation participating in the king's competition alongside Enan. She was well renown for her skill in creation magic, despite being a coward.[20]
Berunda[]
Special Episodes 19 Whistling (1) and 21 Between First and Second
Berunda was the 2nd in command of the Garuda Clan after the correction/erasure of the original Taraka. He was among the top ranking nastikas who saw no need to procreate during the Propagation period of the Beginning since he was already strong, therefore, had no need for rakshasas.[21] In the accompanying blog to Whistling (1), Currygom confirms that he never had (sura) children. Berunda was eaten by Tarakas in the distant past.[22]
Jarita[]
Extra: Special Episode 19 - Whistling (1)
Jarita was the 3rd in command of the Garuda clan after the correction/erasure of the original Taraka. In the accompanying blog to Whistling (1), Currygom discloses that she had many children with the nastikas of the Garuda clan, including Garuda himself. Jarata was eaten by Tarakas in the distant past.[22]
Manasa[]
Manasa was Ananta's mate at the Beginning of the universe and the one wielding the power to go against 'time.' She was the one whom the primeval gods entrusted the universe to in the beginning, before revealing themselves one day. This sparked a confrontation between the gods (Shiva, Brahma, and Visnu) and her, with Manasa concealing the specifics of the conflict between her and the primevals from Ananta,
Unfortunately, the power the power to go against 'Time' causes damage to the wielder every time it is used. Eventually, Manasa reached her limit when a time-devouring monster appeared. But since the monster was something which has been set into motion in the distant past, she had to walk back a long time in order to find the cause. So when she finally managed to destroy the monster, her body ended up being covered by a black matter and began to crumble, transforming into a rampaging monster worse than the one she destroyed.
Shiva, Visnu, and Brahma appeared and combined their forces to temporarily subdue her, but the only solution was for Shiva to use his Erasing Existence transcendental to shatter and wipe Manasa from the universe. Parts of her shattered soul were caught by Ananta who begged the primeval gods for their help. Only Visnu chose to help him at first, but with only fragments of Manasa's soul and fractured name left that are now incompatible with each other, he combined forces with Brahma to create two new creatures: Manasvin, who carries what is left of Manasa's name, and Sagara, who carries what is left of Manasa's soul.
Murugan[]
Murugan was a 4th-Zen god[23] first mentioned in the Side Story 3: I love you, I love you not, as Nameless 56 used his magic hoti murugan to strengthen her weapon. By the time of the series, Murugan no longer exists.[24]
Hanuman recounts to Ran the stories of the rakshasas that she knows who used the Eye of Perishment to reach the 5th stage. One of them used the item and attempted to wish for Murugan to be eliminated, however, the eye did not respond so the rakshasa changed their wish to tormenting Murugan instead. They managed to kill Murugan multiple times which continued until the rakshasa was killed in a pincer attack by the gods. However, 100,000 years later Murugan's jurisdiction disappeared causing Murugan to be destroyed.[25]
