Summary[]

Leez asks the boss, Pao (not confirmed yet), if when he claimed he knew about her father's whereabouts, he meant he knew Rao was dead. Although Pao cannot say with certainty Rao died, he is convinced for two reasons: 1) Rao would never leave his daughter alone all this time, 2) the impact Rao sustained as he fell with the Neutral Bow was enough to devastate the area around crash site – an impact unsurvivable for purebloods. Pao then continues that even with multiple people testifying that Rao is the first owner of the Bow, it was not acknowledge during the trial in N5 along with other testimonies as the court wanted to rush the trial. While Pao was locked up, he was visited by Riche.

In a flashback to the prison camp, a younger Riche has the supervising guard leave so it would just be her and Pao. She knows that Rao is extremely wealthy. With the laws of Willarv dictating that the inheritance be split to relatives within the 4th degree – to which Rao was thought to have none of – the wealth will be split 8:2 between sponsoring children and the Fighter Guild. She asks Pao if he understands the implication, and why everyone has been ignoring their appeal.

Ruche reveals it was the Fighter Guild that heavily pushed the narrative of Rao being alive so that they may acquire "his assets in the name of managing property for a missing guild member." Pao, however, attests that he and others have seen pictures of Rao's daughter to dispute that claim. Even if he and the others convicted for terrorism are here, there are others who have been released that can testify the truth. Riche reveals to Pao that they have all died or disappeared in accidents. Pao asks why she is here. Riche replies that the Neutral Bow has been recently discovered – a few even speculating it was first owned by Rao. However, because no one has been able to find Rao's name engraved on it, the identity of the owner remains a mystery. Pao exclaims that they, the convicted criminals, have always claimed Rao is the first owner of the Bow. It was what Rao used to save the transport ship. Riche then reveals to Pao that in 2 weeks, if ownership is still not identified, the weapon will be auctioned off. Before then, the Fighter Guild will come here to visit Pao, ask for his help, and profit from his knowledge while he stays locked up in here. After some thinking, Pao tells Riche that the engravement of Rao's name only appears when the string is drawn by an individual with plenty of vigor. Moreover, the engravement can only be seen by a different person at the correct angle. That is how Riche can prove Rao is the owner.

In present day, Pao reveals that in exchange for the information, Riche awarded him with upgraded prosthetic arms along with the subsequent maintenance services for free while he was imprisoned. He proclaims Riche to be a much more caring person than the judge, Saha, who presided over the case was. Lilia is offended by Pao's statement, but Agni tells her to let the man speak. He asks Pao how the power room was tampered with, and by whom. If it was through magic, there would have been records of it, but there is not. Pao corrects the god that it was not done through magic – some of the convicted never even attended a magic academy. It was one of the conditions the entity that visited them stipulated. If they used magic, it would be tracked, so the entity preferred the accident be done in non-magical way. The entity also told Pao to expect to lose an arm. Agni specifies if it was his arm, or Asha's arm, but seeing the man prevented from speaking, the god rewords his question to ask Pao if he thinks that the person who gave him the oracle could be the same one that gave Mirha her oracle. Pao exclaims that cannot be because he was told that they, the people who gave him and Mirha their oracles, are enemies. He points out that it all came down to Mirha's decision. Pao lays out what he thinks happened: Mirha summoned Vayu too late, earning the god's disgust. Before cancelling the summoning and returning to the god realm, Vayu transports her to Willarv. Mirha yells out that Pao is wrong and spreading nothing but lies. Seeing her provoked reaction, Pao pokes Mirha to be honest and reveal what truly happened then.

The scene flashes back to Year N5 Carte. Mirha tries to examine all that was revealed to her. She cannot let her guard down just because she was awarded with knowing the future as recognition of her determined spirit.[1] The action does not reconcile with what she observed from the cold transcedent that spoke of killing so aloofly. She also does not believe that there are only two paths she can choose. Pushing through with the hostile environment in front of her and accepting she will die, Mirha resolves to commit to other paths.

The terrain in front of her is the entrance of the closed Water Channel in Carte.

Currygom's comment[]

Young Mirha looks very cold, but she's fine since the clothes are heat-retaining.

(Picture 1: Bow firing) Forgotten Weapon
Well, the Neutral Bow... Do you recall the last time it was used?

(Picture 2: Pao in prison) Listen to me
There were surprisingly many questions about the gender of this person. He's a man.

(Picture 3: Kiddo Riche) Elementary school Riche
Of course, the reason why the person who was supposed to monitor them left is because of bribery, not the bathroom. If you look closely at the exit scene, Riche is handing them something.

(Picture 4: Mirha at the water channels)
The area 399 signboard is written in Carte alphabet, but why is the water channels closure signboard written in Korean? ....Of course it's self-translating, you know?
