Summary[]
Samphati tells Maruna that a 5th stage rakshasa would normally need to be taught by their parent nastika in order to learn to control their power, but since this is not possible for Maruna, he must be very careful.
Maruna inquires about the Yaksha that looks like a wolf. Samphati identifies her as Tatia and asks Maruna to help her, as the Yakshas are an allied clan. When Maruna questions why help someone who is in league with Sagara, Samphati claims that their clan is in no position to be picky with allies. She explains that the sura realm is presently divided into two camps, Asura's and Airavata's, and the Ananta clan is not even considered. Yet the balance could shift significantly should Ananta be resurrected.
Maruna insists that he is not too young to understand this and asks whether Samphati would follow his judgment if he said he had met Ananta. Samphati brings up his increased resemblance to Garuda and asks him to step away. Maruna tells her to stay put and let her body untarakafy while he takes off to help Tatia.
Asha struggles in her fight against Tatia. Siera points out that her soul getting ripped apart must hurt terribly and reveals that although he did not see a future where Tatia kills her, he did see a future when another sura did so, a sura who is extremely likely to join the fight. He advises Asha to take off the bracelet and flee if she wishes to survive.
He admits that he wished for Asha to die here, but seeing her struggle has made him curious if there is a future where she wins. Perhaps it would not be so bad for a universe that extended its lifespan using underhanded methods to stop existing. He warns Asha that she will be dragged to the lowest depths of hell for her sins, so dying would be the worse option for her now.
Maruna lands and effortlessly breaks the construct that Asha was using to battle. He comments that Asha must be having trouble maintaining human shape and that she might even hear him because of all those pieces of names she stole. He says he should have killed her on Carte or in Rao's village before Leez interfered. He asks if the power she has gained is all she'd wished for and mentions that her soul must be breaking already, to the point that there may eventually be barely any of "her" left.
Asha counters that Maruna has no right to criticize because he used the power he was born with to sin and will face a fate worse than hell after death, he will meet the same end as nastikas. Unfazed, Maruna states that the afterlife does not matter to a sura. Asha expresses hope that the sura realizes the delusions he lived in before death, at least.
Without further hesitation, Maruna kills off Asha, stating that she talks too much. He notices that the bracelet regenerated her immediately and so he prepares to kill her again. Tatia stops him, claiming that there was no need to come to her help. Maruna clarifies that he was not helping, he had a different reason. Then he asks Siera, who is hiding nearby, to come out.

The characters from the 1st season flashbacks look so different... if you don't recognize them, S1 EP3.

While I was working on this week's episode, there was a short power outage. Once the power returned, everything turned back on properly except my monitor. Poor thing, why couldn't you hang on until I went on hiatus T.T
(pic 1: Maruna and Samphati) Looks like Garuda=feels bad
Is she saying that Garuda would feel bad, or that him being so similar to Garuda makes her feel bad?
(pic 2: Asha and Siera) So dark....
There must be a reason her face is never properly illuminated. Perhaps there's a huge zit on her face (this isn't it)
(pic 3: Maruna stomping the ground)
It seems like almost everyone saw the change to Maruna's face, and while some of you may think that the cloth remained the same, it's a bit different. The remaining sura parts are the markings around his eyes and the feathers on his shoulder. If you think about Maruna when he was young, that's the bit that's still sticking around.
(pic 4: Asha and Maruna face-off) These two have such a long and horrid history together.
Maruna isn't the person directly related to Leez's town... but these two, they're each other's nemesis.
Notes[]
- The nastikas Samphati is speaking about are from left to right most likely Makara, Ravana, and Asura on one side, and Airavata, Hanuman, and Vritra on the other.
- The fate which nastikas normally meet is annihilation in the 0th dimension.
- In Episode 2-157 Maruna also stated that Asha is a troublesome enemy who he should have killed on Carte and that she must have stolen more power from another Kubera, signifying that he has known what she was doing for a long time.
