3-233 Indra whispering to the king

Indra whispering to the king

When the Daksha's entire family was murdered by one of his knights, who was posessed by fiendish magic, he denounced that kind of magic. He ordered all of his knights to cease using it but they refused, and were executed. This incident fueled the revenge mission of Enan and his friend.

During his competition for the next Priest of the Earth, the king had a dream that someone of sura blood would cause him trouble. He decided to only allow the purebloods to continue. When Enan won the competition, the king recognized him and brought him inside. He apologized to Enan for not understanding the situation well enough before sentencing the knights. However, Indra took control of him using his vajra, and made him fight Enan. When he lost the fight, Indra ceased control of him.

The king cannot remember what he did during the attack, and apologizes for his behavior. He offers to let Enan join the royal family, and become the priest of Earth as well. God Kubera, showing up at the scene, asks the king whether Indra commanded the death of his knights, but he denies that Indra had anything to do with it. Kubera deduces it is a higher god from his insight and leaves him.

When Enan's friend begins attacking the palace with her fiendish magic, the king's men go to stop her. Indra tells the Daksha that many will die unless he denounces fiendish magic entirely. Furthermore, Indra promises to reveal the culprit behind the lightning incident, the death of the king's family, as well as what is going on at the moment, provided the king obeys. He would go on to accept this deal.
