Event organised by KPMG and DIE ZEIT:
"Performance strategies for a global market"
The competitiveness of the German economy is at a critical turning point. Is Germany losing touch with Asian markets when it comes to new technologies and adopting new trends? And what should a performance strategy look like in order to remain a world leader in the future? High-profile executives discussed these questions at a joint event organised by DIE ZEIT and KPMG on 21 January at the Grandhotel Belvédère as part of the WEF in Davos.
The discussion evening was opened by Rainer Esser, CEO of DIE ZEIT, and Mattias Schmelzer, CEO of KPMG. The evening was hosted by Dr Uwe Jean Heuser, head of the GREEN department and publisher of ZEIT für Unternehmer.
High-calibre executives from major international and German companies provided insights into which strategies are now in demand and how international companies and investors are looking at the German market:

The most important topics at the World Economic Forum - what Davos is all about
The meeting in Davos deals with the most important issues of our time. The range of topics that will be discussed over the four days at the end of January 2025 in Switzerland is correspondingly broad. The focus will be on the need for increased dialogue and public-private cooperation. For example, the question of how different groups can find new ways to work together on solutions will be a major topic. Leaders will also discuss how to drive action on energy, climate and nature through innovative partnerships, increased funding and the use of cutting-edge technologies. And they will discuss approaches that business leaders can take to balance short-term goals with the long-term needs of transforming their industries.
