Minor Chojin[]

Summary[]

When a tag tournament to decide the world's greatest tag team is held, the remnants of the Devil Knights (Asuraman and Sunshine) steal the Justice Chojins' Friendship Power. After being abandoned by his friends one after another, Kinnikuman and Kinnikuman Great (Prince Kamehame and - later - Terryman in disguise) form the Muscle Brothers and fight to regain the Friendship Power.

History[]

Prehistory[]

A second Mount Fuji appears in Japan. [1]

On top of this mountain, the Universal Chojin Tag Team trophy appears. Underneath, there appears a series of rings that allow for eight tag-teams to compete. Terryman - along with the other justice chojin - goes to Kourakuen Hall to discuss the situation. After the others announce their group, Terryman states he has no reason to object to their decision and walks away. [1] Terryman reveals he will not team up with Kinnikuman, but instead seeks to work with Geronimo and bring him back to full health (since he is now in a vegetative state). [2]

Terryman visits a Cherokee village in Oklahoma, where - despite his soul supposedly having left his body - Geronimo protects him from being attacked by the villagers. Terryman begs Chief Cheyenne to heal Geronimo and bring him back to full health. [2] Once Geronimo is healed, and turned into a chojin, they arrive together in Japan for the tournament. [3]

Preliminaries[]

Big Bombers vs Stray Devil Chojin[]

During the Dream Chojin Tag Arc, only eight competing tag-teams are allowed to fight, and yet nine competing tag-teams arrives and wish to participate. [4] Asuraman states that they should eliminate the weakest team, which are the Big Bombers. They grow angry at the insult of being called weak, which causes Terryman to try and hold them back from starting a fight before the tournament has begun. [4]

They attack, but Sunshine and Asuraman swing them around and knock their heads together, and this is followed by a Hell's Combination (a collision of two Romero Specials). The two are instantly incapacitated, as they lie bloody on the canvas of the ring and eight teams are left by their elimination. [4]

Most Dangerous vs Killer Game Combo[]

Just as the 20 Million Powers and Most Dangerous Combo are about to begin their fight, during the Dream Chojin Tag Arc, the Killer Game Combo arrive. [5] Brocken Jr. attacks them, as they have intervened with their match, but Kendaman strikes him with his ball-shaped head. This breaks Brocken's rib-cage. The Most Dangerous Combo assume that Kendaman cannot see them, as he has no traditional head or eyes, and so they circle him, but he evades the attack and uses a Ball-and-Cup Headbutt. [5]

Screw Kid then attacks in turn, using is legs to emulate a screwdriver, and together then engages in a Hell's Screwdriver to attack both members of the Most Dangerous Combo. [5] The crowd is angered that the Dangerous Combo were so easily defeated. [6] The Hell Missionaries protect the Dangerous Combo from the rioting crowd, but Brocken Jr. reveals he is still able to fight, and forces Screw Kid away from him. Brocken does not want his loss to count for nothing, so - to allow the 20 Million Powers to win - he challenges Buffaloman and allows himself to be pinned; this allows 20 Million Powers to officially win the match. [6] The Killer Combo reveal they have no allegiances to either Justice Chojin or Evil Chojin.

Quarter-Finals[]

Muscle Brothers vs 4D Killer Combo[]

In the Dream Chojin Tag Arc, the 4D Killer Combo await the Muscle Brothers by standing on the ceiling above the first ring, and - as the Muscle Brothers enter - drop down upon them as a preemptive attack. [7]Kinnikuman strikes at Pentagon, who retaliates with a Flying Body Attack, but Kinnikuman throws him out of the ring when a 4D Warp is used (allowing Black Hole to suck Pentagon into his body). This counter allows Pentagon to appear behind Kinnikuman and strike him in the face with an Elbow Bat. [7]

Kinnikuman ignores Kinnikuman Great's attempt to tag in, despite bleeding profusely, and this allows Black Hole to swap places with Pentagon. [7] Black Hole throws Kinnikuman to the ropes; Kinnikuman Great reassures Kinnikuman they are equals, but Kinnikuman is determined to prove himself to what he considers his master. He still tags in Kinnikuman Great, despite his reservations, who uses a martial arts kick to attack Black Hole. They exchange several blows, but Kinnikuman Great temporarily incapacitates Black Hole with a Rolling Savate. [7]

The other teams leave their rings, so that they may watch the match. [8] Black Hole catches Kinnikuman Great off-guard and throws him to the ropes, in an attempt to engage in a German Suplex, but Kinnikuman Great counters with a Reverse Kick. Kinnikuman worries about loses the spotlight, as he starts to argue with Kinnikuman Great and trust breaks down, and this leads to the 4D Killer Combo gaining an advantage. As the 4D Combo use 4D Warp again, Great throws Kinnikuman out of the ring so that he may strike Pentagon midair. [8] This fatigues both Pentagon and Great.

Kinnikuman locks Black Hole in a Boston Crab, while Pentagon uses Chronos Change, which reverses their positions and allows Black Hole the upper hand. Each move Kinnikuman uses on Black Hole becomes countered with Pentagon's Chronos Change, and - as Great comes to the defence - Pentagon uses Time Stop to freeze Great and stop with a Pile Driver. They stop Great with a 4D Cross. [8] Kinnikuman tries to counter with a White Hole, but Black Hole's body is now double-layered. [9]

Kinnikuman tries to fight alone, using a Body Slam on Pentagon, but Pentagon uses Chronos Change to switch Kinnikuman's place with Black Hole. 4D Combo tries to use a 4D Cross on Kinnikuman, but he counters with advice from the voice of Great. Kinnikuman forcibly spins the star on Pentagon's face, making him turn back time and enabling Kinnikuman to use a Pile Driver attack. Great tries to escape through Black Hole, grabbing his mask in the process, but Black Hole closes access to his dimension. [9]

Black Hole and Great fight within the dimension, and Great uses a Kinniku Buster to defeat Black Hole, while Kinnikuman uses the Kinniku Driver to defeat Pentagon. They combine their attacks into a Muscle Docking, which allows them to win the match. [9][10]

20 Million Powers vs Killer Game Combo[]

In the first-round match-ups, the teams are required to navigate a labyrinth to be matched against their opponents, and the 20 Million Powers are matched against the Most Dangerous Combo. [11] Just as the 20 Million Powers and Most Dangerous Combo are about to begin their fight, during the Dream Chojin Tag Arc, the Killer Game Combo arrive. [12] This leads to the Killer Game Combo defeating the Most Dangerous Combo. [13]

Brocken Jr. does not want his loss to count for nothing, so - to allow the 20 Million Powers to win - he challenges Buffaloman and allows himself to be pinned; this allows 20 Million Powers to officially win the match. [13] This technical win allows the 20 Million Powers to advance to the next round, but the 20 Million Powers attack the Killer Game Combo for their intrusion. Buffaloman uses a feint against Screw Kid, but Mongolman - using the distraction to attack - injures his leg in the process. [13]

Buffaloman is then struck by Kendaman, and the Killer Game Combo ask for formal permission to enter the tournament in the place of the Most Dangerous Combo. The 20 Million Powers declare that they will earn their place in the next round by first defeating the Killer Game Combo. The match began with a fierce one-on-one battle between Buffaloman and Kendaman, but Buffaloman tries a Hurricane Mixer on Kendaman, but it fails. [13] Buffaloman is then caught in a Scorpion Defence by Kendaman. [14]

He proceeds to break off his Long Horn and breaks the glass of the War-Cube, but is then attacked by a Hell's Screwdriver, which is only stopped by the thrown hair of Mongolman. Buffaloman counters with a powered-up Hurricane Mixer. [14] Fearing the punishment that comes from failing their Boss, Screw Kid and Kendaman begin to use dirty tactics. [15]At this point Neptuneman and Big the Budo reveal themselves, and Kendaman and Screw Kid abandon the match to attack them, and the 20 Million Powers win by default, as the Killer Game Combo are killed by the Hell Missionaries outside the ring. [16]

Hell Missionaries vs Teacher/Student[]

The Chojin Master/Student Combo enter the third ring, where the Hell Missionaries wait for them. [17] Like the other Idol Chojins, Warsman has his Friendship Power stolen by Ashuraman and Sunshine. [18][19] Robin and Warsman work together to battle Big the Budo, until Warsman gets knocked into the ropes, and he rips the ropes to free himself and attempt Tag Formation A, which features Robin Mask taking Warsman into a Tower Bridge and spinning him, so that he may use a Rolling Bear Claw. This allows him to slash at Neptuneman's chest. [17]

Warsman watches the match from the side, as Robin Mask takes the lead. [20] After Neptuneman steals Warsman's Bear Claws, he attempts a Palo Special. Neptuneman counters, before impaling Warsman on his spike, and then using a Nose Dive and a Double Leg Suplex. [20] This knocks off Warsman's mask, causing Robin to come to his defence. [21] Neptuneman reveals he intends to steal Warsman's mask for his collection, but Warsman snatches it back and puts it back over his face. [21]

During the fight, Robin recognised Neptuneman as Quarrelman, the Chojin who had deemed him unworthy years earlier. Robin outed Quarrelman, and Quarrelman then revealed his and Budō’s plan to steal the masks of the strongest Chojins and then give them to their minions (thus giving them their powers). Though Robin and Warsman tried their best (Robin even used version 1 of the Robin Special on Budō), they just couldn’t beat the Hell Missionaries and were both unmasked. The Hell's Missionaries then use a Cross-Bomber. [21]

This knocks off Warsman's mask, allowing Neptuneman to add it to his collection. Warsman is cradled in Robin Mask's arms, while he asks who is laughing at his face, and - as Robin reassures him that no one is laughing - Warsman dies in his mentor's arms and leaves Robin weeping in grief. [21] Warsman's corpse is then tossed from the mountain by Big the Budo, but caught by Kinnikuman Great. [19] Robin is placed down on the ground and his face was fully revealed for the first time. Kinnikuman then gave Robin a towel to put over his face, as the match is declared in favour of the Hell Missionaries.

New Machineguns vs Stray Devil Chojin[]

The Machineguns enter their ring through a randomised set of corridors, which pits them against the Stray Devil Chojin Combo. [22] Later, when the justice chojin group together to protect Robin Mask, whose face is exposed, Terryman refuses to offer his help and states that his merciful nature has made him weak. [23]

The New Machineguns - (compromised of Terryman and Geronimo) - start the match dirty, by attacking after pretending to shake hands with their opponents: Stray Akuma Chojin Combo. [23] Terryman starts to strangle Asuraman with a bandage. [24] Asuraman counters with a Body Slam, and Terryman then calls Geronimo in for a tag-team counter-move, before he tags in Geronimo. Terryman soon starts to doubt himself and regrets not having teamed with Kinnikuman. They then break off two of Ashuraman's arms. [24]

The dolls collected by the Stray Akuma Chojin Combo scatter and break on the ring-mat, which leads Terryman to suspect that it means his destiny is to be killed in the match. [25] They exchange a series of blows, but are soon outmatched with a Hell's Combination technique. [25] Terryman is then heavily beaten, but Geronimo fails to understand his hand gestures, and Terryman realises his mistake in pairing up with someone other than Kinnikuman. [26] Kinnikuman offers his support from the crowds, reinvigorating Terryman who nearly wins against Sunshine, but Asuraman threatens to take Geronimo's life lest Terryman concede. [27]

Terryman rips off his stars from his arms, symbols of his chojin nature, and concedes. [27] He is saved by Kinnikuman Great, when the Stray Akuma Chojin Combo fight on past the bell, but this act costs Kinnikuman Great a vast deal of injuries and incapacitates him. [28] It is shown that Kinnikuman Great is dying, and he gives Terryman his mask and asks Terryman to act in his place: Terryman agrees. [29]

Prince Kamehame's spirit then trains Terryman. [30]

Semi-Finals[]

Stray Devil Combo vs Muscle Brothers[]

A tug-of-war determines that Terryman's next match is against the Stray Devil Combo again (due to him assuming Kamehame's position and joining Kinnikuman's team, with no one wiser). [31] The match takes place with their competitors surrounding the ring, so no one is allowed escape except through death. [31] Terryman struggles to keep pace in the match, but Kamehame's spirit tells him that he should try to emulate him less and be his own person, and so he starts to use his own techniques and style again. [32]

They begin to work well together as a team, until the cursed canvas comes to life with the spirits of the Seven Devil Chojin they destroyed in an earlier arc. [33] The Muscle Brothers start to fail once more, when - after sowing seeds of doubt about Kinnikuman Great II's identity - Kinnikuman and Terryman start to fight among themselves, with Kinnikuman demanding to see his face. [34] When Terryman sacrifices himself for Kinnikuman, it reignites their Friendship Power. [34] The two then manage to win the match, after a series of events and some flashbacks to Ashuraman's childhood, with a Muscle Docking technique. [35]

It is later Terryman who discovers Doctor Bombe is deceased, and stops the others from uncovering his dead body, lest it demotivate them, and he then buries Bombe alongside his best friend: Kamehame. [36]

Hell Missionaries vs 20 Million Powers[]

The semi-final match against the Hell Missionaries is a simple barbed-wire cage match, but also a mask-removal death-match in which Mongolman must bet his mask. Buffaloman is thrown into the barbed wire by Neptuneman, who then switches with Mongolman, who is at a disadvantage from being unable to use the rope for his techniques. After being thrown into the screen cage, Mongolman rebounds with a kick. [37]

After a series of blows, the 20 Million Powers seem to have the upper hand. [38] Mongolman begins to suffer flashbacks within the ring, as the cage reminds him of his match against Warsman, and Buffaloman is unable to tag in, as both of the Hell Missionaries attack him. The spirit of Warsman helps Mongolman. [38] Buffaloman is tagged in and uses a Buffalo Avalanche Drop. [39] He proceeds to attach his Long Horn, and uses a Hurricane Heat. Mongolman is tagged into the match, but subject to a Cross Bomber. [39]

Neptuneman uses his Magnet Power in retaliation. [40] This heals the wounds of the Hell's Missionaries, and they try continuously to attack with Cross Bombers attacks, only to fail. Due to the Iron Sweat on Mongolman and Buffaloman, they are dragged towards the Hell Missionaries by their magnet power, and they almost defeat the 20 Million Powers with a Magnetic Storm Driver. [40] The 20 Million Powers are then further attacked by a magnetic suplex. [41] They are soon entangled in the magnetic barbed wires, as they regain their Friendship Power, and the Justice Chojin regain their power of friendship overall. [41]

The iron sweat breaks from Mongolman and Buffaloman, and Buffaloman uses his Longhorn Train. [42] This increases the power of the Hell's Missionaries, who use a Silhouette Body Press, and - after a series of blows - are thrown from the war-cube. The Hell's Missionaries summon thunder to increase their electrical power. [42] Their Lightning Sabre attack renders Buffaloman and Ramenman immobile, and Buffaloman uses a fragment of Iron Sweat to draw Neptuneman away from Mongolman. [43]

Buffaloman collapses against the mat, defeated by the Light Sabres. [43]

Mongolman carries Buffaloman on his back, as they try again for a Longhorn Train, but they are defeated by a Magnetic Storm Crash. [43] Neptuneman attempts to unmask Mongolman, but Mongolman continues to fight back, even though his body has been magnetised. [44] Mongolman's mask is then removed by a Cross Bomber. [44] It is revealed that Mongolman was actually Ramenman, who returns to a comatose state and is rendered immobile without his mask. [45] Ramenman reveals that Doctor Bombe created the mask to give him back his mobility and speech, and his mask is removed permanently by Neptuneman. [45]

Finals[]

When Kinnikuman's new partner - Prince Kamehame - dies as a result of his injuries, midway through the tournament, Terryman assumes his mask and identity and is briefly trained by Kamehame in his techniques (via his spirit). [46] He joins Kinnikuman in the Tug-of-War Ceremony, which matches them against the Stray Devil Chojin Combo. [47] The match takes place with their competitors surrounding the ring, so no one is allowed escape except through death. [47]

Terryman struggles to keep pace in the match, but Kamehame's spirit tells him that he should try to emulate him less and be his own person, and so he starts to use his own techniques and style again. [48] They begin to work well together as a team, until the cursed canvas comes to life with the spirits of the Seven Devil Chojin (except Buffaloman and Black Hole) and the Six Devil Knights (except for Ashuraman and Sunshine) they destroyed in an earlier arc. [49] The Machineguns (still believed to be the Muscle Brothers) start to fail once more, when - after sowing seeds of doubt about Kinnikuman Great II's identity - Kinnikuman and Terryman start to fight among themselves, with Kinnikuman demanding to see his face. [50]

When Terryman sacrifices himself for Kinnikuman, it reignites their Friendship Power. [50] The two then manage to win the match, after a series of events and some flashbacks to Ashuraman's childhood, with a Muscle Docking technique. [51] The final match is against Hell Missionaries; the ring is surrounded by swords, which will pierce anyone thrown out of the ring or who tries to escape. [52] The match will be a three-round match, with each round lasting ten minutes until the final round, which will have no time-limit attached. [52]

During the match against Neptuneman, some of Terryman's blond hair is exposed. [53] More and more of Terryman's face is exposed, as he panics at the idea Kinnikuman may reject him on learning the truth, and thus leaves himself open to attacks. [54] With only seconds to spare, Terryman is defeated with a Cross-Bomber in the first round and his face is revealed. [55] Terryman has his stars returned to him by Asuraman, who rejects how he gave up earlier, and - thus due to not having technically quit his match - is still eligible to compete in the tournament, as he never technically lost. [56]

They gain an advantage in the second round, and Kinnikuman - now their friendship is renewed - tears his white vest to offer a makeshift bandage to Terryman. [57] They later manage to trick their opponents by switching places underneath the ring and swapping masks, and this lets them gain the upper-hand. [58] Terryman is then knocked out of the ring onto the spikes, where he is incapacitated. [59] They work together, after Terryman recovers to win with a Muscle Docking. [60]

The two of them win the third round when both opponents faint. [61]

They then continue together to retrieve their trophy. [61]
