The Lost Bookshop
A downloadable game
The Lost Bookshop is a game of curation. Using tarot cards and prompts to guide you in finding new or favoured books for customers and to add to your Bookshop collection. Building a library of treasures against a world that seeks to erase what it disagrees with. Shining light on what the world neglects, that in reading adds richness to our everyday.
Play in one go, over time or again and again, changing how you will find the books you use to fill this bookshop to share with others.
The Lost Bookshop can be explored solo but it is also greatly encouraged to collaborate with others and talk through books for the prompts.
This isn't a game you can loose, but rather something to encourage you to explore new books, read widely and build something.
---------------------------
This is an ashcan version, it is currently playable, but is undergoing continuous development to expand and deepen the different aspects.
----------------------------
Inspired by the book of its namesake by Evie Woods, which kicked off a new continuous yarn collection featuring books of post apocalyptic and speculative fiction, and an encouragement to patronise your local bookshops and connect with your local libraries.
