“Better Together” program also will be celebrated

Congregation Shma Koleinu’s Shabbat service on Friday, May 17, at the Merfish Teen Center will include a special tribute to Jeanne Samuels, z”l.

The nod to Samuels takes place during the oneg, featuring her favorite noshes, lovingly prepared by Joan Reichstein. The oneg at 6 p.m. precedes services, which begin at 6:30. The Merfish is located at 9000 S. Rice Ave.

The community is invited to enjoy the Shabbat evening with the congregation, Rabbi Scott Hausman-Weiss and Jonathan Goldstein.

Additionally, CSK will be celebrating the program “Better Together,” led by coordinators Andrea Selig and Rabbi Hausman-Weiss. The two have worked together to bring CSK teens and seniors together to share learning experiences, arts and culture and even instructions on how to change your vehicle’s oil.

All are welcome to join CSK’s kehillah (community) for this beautiful Shabbat of “Remembering Jeanne” and celebrating Better Together.
