[Art][Music][Writer][RevShare] Experienced UE5 dev looking to build a team (you can even check out the demo for what you'll be working on)

What up my dudes. As the title says, I'm a UE5 dev with solid experience. I'm a programmer whos' worked on numerous projects and I've worked with UE specifically for a decade. I have published works of my own as well as have been part of teams with published works. I finish what I start.

I've got this idea. Wait, no, I've got this demo. Yeah, you can check it out, it's free, see if you're interested in jumping on. All them assets are mostly placeholders because, well, I'd like you to join me in making them proper. This is the concept. This is the foundation. This is a bit of a showcase in letting you see that I mean what I say, it's already in the works, and we should make a cool af game together.

I got a GDD ready. General idea is an RTS with RPG elements, a good solid story. We're harkening a good bit toward ye old World of Warcraft 3, for those of you ancient enough to remember (I certainly am). We're gonna throw a modern spin on this baby though, and we're even playing with some ARG elements.

The premise: NPC jackass in an MMORPG akin to World of Warcraft, GW2, whatever MMO you fancy- becomes aware. There's a glitch in the mainframe and this self-indulging Lich King suddenly gains a mind of his own, much to his dismay. He even picks up some buddies along the way, all while trying to figure out what the hell is going on and fending off these f***ing adventurers who won't leave him alone.

Romance even! With a dead... person? Yeah idk.

Artist? Sweet. If you're 2D I'd love to see some icons, UI work, whatever. If 3D, I'd love to see some game-ready assets you've made. Proper optimized stuff with an understanding of UVs, texture sizing and poly count. If you're a musician, you're probably the most underappreciated part of the game dev world tbh and I'd like to give you a platform to make some cool af sound for this baby. Check the GDD for general references. Writer? Sweet. I've got the idea, I have a general mind of how I want this to go, but I'm all for creative freedom. Let's work on building this out, fleshing it up. Or defleshing, given the subject matter. Dark humor is a must! Show me an example.

I'm pretty chill. I'm old school. I'm kinda hippie. But I expect people to earn their worth. I work hard. I work fast. I scare people because of it. You do you, just do it at a reasonable pace. We'll make a thing. It'll be fun.

Oh, real quick note: I'm a lady. Yeah I know, we're like half the population, but I've had someone drop out a project before when they found out the programmer was a chick, so... I guess that's a thing? lol. You've been warned!

hi! could we work together? I make horror games on scratch and maybe you can turn them into like a more unity type game? then we could both post them on our profiles!

Hey dude, I work in UE rather than Unity, so it's a different engine and a different language. UE is C++, Unity uses a C# scripting system. You can use both to produce all sorts of games of course, and each has strengths and weaknesses in certain areas. Most anything can be made in either engine though.

Making games is something I've done professionally for a real long time now, so I'm not really looking to build a profile, haha. I'm just looking for a cool team for this project I have. I've worked on other peoples' ideas a lot, so I'd like to do something else at the moment. Thanks though, good luck.

oh okay! good luck to you too! :D

Hello, I find this project very interesting and it would be a pleasure to be part of it! I'll leave you a link to some of my pieces! I've been dedicated to music for years, and I'm just finishing my music degree. Although I come from the world of metal and classical music, for some time now I've been involved in soundtracks, and I would love to work with you and create a soundtrack in the style of Tim Burton! Feel free to message me on Discord

Typically, I use YouTube as a testing ground for others I work with to view my pieces and offer feedback. While there's not much uploaded there, I do have a plethora of other works. If you're interested, we can delve deeper into discussion, and I'd be delighted to showcase more of my pieces

Hey man, looks pretty cool, I dig the metal. lol. I'm more a fan of like goth rock (massive fan of Mono Inc) but I appreciate all kinds music. Discord gets overloaded fast, could you hit me with what sort of expectations you have coming into the project first and then we can go from there and take it to DMs/Discord?  What sort of availability do you have? How would you feel about creating/using pieces for multiple different levels and themes, or cutscenes?  Are you comfortable with shared revenue?

lmk!

1 - In terms of expectations, I always seek a serious project. I don't mind how long it takes, as long as the group members are committed and passionate about what they do.

2 - Generally, I tend to have quite a bit of free time. As I mentioned, I'm currently focused on my studies, so I've taken a break from work. However, it's true that occasionally I return to teaching every 3 or 4 months, after all, one has to make a living. During that time, if the work is full-time, I tend to be busier for around 2 to 3 months, resulting in lower performance. But overall, my availability is very high, at least until I finish my degree. It's also true that this month I'll be somewhat busy; in April, we've set a deadline to finish another project where I'm doing the music, and additionally, I'm working on another extensive soundtrack (it will last about 1 year). Since I'm closing one project, I'm trying to open another! (I don't take on more than 3 at a time).

3 - Music is my passion. Nothing excites me more than working with diverse scenarios, creating as many varied pieces as possible, and bringing scenes to life!

4 - Absolutely, I believe it's important, as a trust system among members, to integrate into a common project with shared goals and benefits (although, of course, these benefits may vary depending on the workload). If you include revenue generated through music in that, I'm also fine with it.

Let me get this straight: You're a human being? Who progs? And you want to team up with people to finish a project? With a writer, no less?

Do you have discord? Not sure how it gets ovaloaded, but I'll work to prove you wrong. You can see examples of my work at my post. More can be shown by request.

Hey! I'm a huge fan of this project and would love to work on it. I am a composer and I love the the classic RPG them and the gothic/fun style. I actually created a short demo today in the style to give you an idea of what I could add to the project - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DkjoP2CuQAgPYr371aADdsHGILKCF1c_/view?usp=shari...

Would love to talk more!
