The aesthetic and idea is suuuper cool! I do wish the gameplay was a little more engaging though, it gets repetitive very quickly.
I really like the esthetics and the sound. Also an nice interpretation of the theme.
A few points of feedback:
- Moving the character feels very slow
- To hide the knife, I just pressed E until it was ok, maybe point out where to hide it? Or instead try to clean the knife with some minigame and put it back in the kitchen closet?
- If all clues are removed, I still had to wait for the police to arrive basically doing nothing. I would suggest skipping the timer if you have done everything you can.
Those are just minor points though, I enjoyed the game and that’s the most important thing :)
Great game! I love the idea, but I think sometimes there is a bug happening and I need to get out of range of a task and then come back to do it. And also atmosphere is amazingly conveyed through art, music and sfx. Good job!
I really like the idea, but unfortunately the gameplay is very rough. There’s some bug which means you can’t interact with items half the time, it’s almost impossible to wipe bloodstains, and it’s very unclear where to hide the knife. Since you can’t drop the knife once you pick it up, not knowing where to hide it also prevents you from taking care of other clues in the meantime, which is basically a death sentence.
Interesting concept, you have to be strategic about how you move to win.
Sometimes I couldn't interact with clues, and on level one I still went away, but on level 3 I got caught. Also hiding the knife wasn't intuitive, I thought cupboard should be an ideal place, but it was the carpet :D
I love the 1-bit graphics, the directional sprites feel very smooth and it never was unclear how the movement was proceeding. It seems the colliders are bit "wonky" but once you know you can just take a step back and retry, everything worked fine ^-^ Very engaging for such a simple game, well done !!!
The art style is really good and the idea is also amazing. But as the one below me I couldnt wap the blood for some reason it took ages. The rest of it is perfect. My game is down here if you want to take a look :)
really enjoyed the concept - but there seemed to be a few bugs with the hit boxes with certain tasks. I couldn't interact with some yet still apparently got away when time ran out.
what a neat idea for a game i love this lol, rated it well :) you should give my game a chance!
i didn't mean to do it, but i must've accidentally cut that poor man's head off with my easy bake oven knife. i panicked so i tried to find somewhere to hide it, not realizing i could've just washed it and stored it with the other utensils. the cops found me scrambling around the room and arrested me. tonight i woke up in jail and i think i'll be waking up in the state penitentiary from now on.
I liked the atmosphere of the game a lot, time limit puzzle game really give the player the experience of rushing to clean everything after the crime. It felt good to play, really!!
