This became one of my favorites almost immediately. The only thing I struggled with was figuring out the theme. The gameplay became a little repetitive too. But the art was breath taking, the animations were so smooth, and the music and sound effect were perfection! That piano key strike when hit by an enemy matched with the overall game music beautifully! Great work!

The color change in a simple transition shader, the same as for a circular in-out black screen when you go through a door in many games.
Then I just give this shader a texture that's made with a watercolor brush, and ta-da ! :D As simple as that

This is a seriously beautiful game not much in game play but the story animations and art more than makes up for it. The music was beautiful and the damaged sound effects were perfect and one with the music.

This was a game jam. Who asked you to make people cry?!?!?!? I loved it. I just... I don't have words. It's beautiful. I would be sharing this game with my friends. This was just more than an amazing experience. The music in the background made everything much much better. Don't even get me started about the animation, it was so smooth. This game is so well animated. I love the fact that the damage sound is an off note. I'm still trying to figure out how you did that effect where the sky changes color. Wonderful job.
