Wonderful marriage of ideas here: DOOM with finger guns! Chain kills to survive like Hotline Miami! Agree on your assessment that the unique style and vibe here is the priority: the breakbeat soundtrack helps with that a bunch. Pretty tricky after a while but addictive. I reckon there's quite a lot you could do with this post-jam!

At first, it was really difficult to grasp the sensitivity and aim. But after 12 attempts of getting >10 seconds, I was able to finish the game in just a little under two minutes. However, I did pick having an extra 2 seconds to the flashlight, which I think was a massive help. I loved the fluidity of combat during that time as well. The music was awesome too! Keep up the good work!

Quite enjoyable and fun, fast-paced and addictive actually! The animations are really fun. I think you should stay alive until the flashlight is completely dead (total darkness) as the threshold seems arbitrary (which may be why a lot of people said they died randomly).

Think the web build might be a bit buggy because aiming kept warping and I would randomnly die but I loved the design of this game so much. Running around finger banging people, great designs and death animations. Think my longest go was only 15 seconds but I played it a solid 10+ times. Some small post jam tweaks and fixes and this could be an awesome game
very hard but fun game. sometimes i died cause of no apparent reason.
Would be good to have progressively hard levels, or at least a safe space at the beginning of the first level. Couldn't do much, because the difficulty is high and the gameplay is chaotic.
thank you, even for trying!! you're right that ramping up difficulty would be much better, and I actually considered that but couldn't implement it in time. I will definitely try that in my next jam

Of all the games that I've played so far this one was the most engaging and exciting. The only thing I would change is the damage indicator. It can be a little disorienting. Great job
Fast and fun! I like the idea of powerups.
Omg I suck at this so bad lmao, but still had plenty of fun dying over and over again. Honestly adore the vibe, the music contrasting the horror twist on the office space, the small but effective narrative of respawning looking at the sign, it all is just great. Like call it my skill issue, but I do feel I died just randomly, but it could be that the mouse just was waaay too sensitive for me, and I ended up at times spiraling when I tried to turn anywhere (honestly maybe something is wrong with my mouse, this was not the first game that had this issue for me), but implementing setting system takes time.
Back to the actual point: I had fun, I wish I was better at the game, great work on this!

This is really fun. I loved the art style and enemies. The animations were on point, and the fast-paced shooting was fun. The tight corridors were a bit frustrating for me, and sometimes enemies managed to get behind me and I got a bit disoriented trying to kill them and get back on track. Overall, very good game. Congrats!

This game is hard! But I really enjoyed the art style and doom style enemies. I'd say it reminds me of an almost cartoonish version of the original Doom or Duke Nukem games. Best I can do is about 8 seconds and I don't always see the enemies. Got any tips for surviving longer?
It definitely takes a moment to get into it, especially if you're not used to fast paced shooters. Generally what you can do is to memorize enemies locations as they stay same (including room's layout), it's just order that is randomized. After clearing a few rooms, you get to pick a perk that may give you great boost such as 2 seconds more to your flashlight timer before it runs out of battery. Thanks for trying!!!
