Hi! I like the atmosphere very much, but got stuck at the very beginning for like two hours =). I've listened to the radio only after I walked around the apartment and clicked every hotspot. So, when I finally listened to the radio, I didn't know what to do next, I re-listened every station, re-read all the texts, watched the peephole and the clock multiple times, I got no idea that you have to click on the stove again and get different reaction =). Maybe you could add just one line, like, 'I'm feeling hungry' after listening to the radio? Thanks!
There actually is a message about the dinner that is shown after listening to the second radio broadcast. Thank you for bringing this up nevertheless, I'll add more texts pointing towards the objective
Thank you! Maybe I accidentally fast-forwarded through it by clicking LMB. Just as suggestion: maybe show this message after you went away from the radio, not at the radio interface?
It's not often I write reviews - I tend to struggle to keep focus and translate my thought into words. But this game.. I need to say something about it.
First of all, Funeralopolis made me feel like I was actually the protagonist; that it was my home and where I had my daily routine. I felt the fear of the possible consequences of the whole situation - how my actions would affect it.
There's a relatively eerie part in the game that made me uncomfortable and nervous, despite it just being a game. But the atmosphere, the dead silence and lack of movement made the whole scene so nightmarish that I struggled to process it; even doubting whether or not it was "real" in the game.
I'm not sure how many endings the game has but I've gotten two different - they're both interesting but one is way creepier.
Also, the graphics and art direction is on point and works perfectly with the whole Eastern European vibe.
There's a lot more I could say about Funeralopolis but I just want to say that it has been one of the greater game experiences this year and I can't wait to see what else is in store from BananaDevJeff.
Thank you for all the positive words ♥ It really means a lot to hear this, especially when you had to go out of your way to write it
There are only two endings, both depend on the only choice in the game so I still consider the game to have a linear structure.
I really want to make more games expanding on the Funeralopolis world, it makes me so happy to know that people feel invested enough to be interested in seeing more of it!
I saw just a snippet of the game's opening on Youtube and sought this out from that. This is genuinely stellar work. The artstyle, the atmosphere, the creeping dread as things get worse...
I want to see more of this setting. I want to learn what happened with the other residents, how things progressed after the Catastrophe beyond the snippets of info in that pdf. I'm genuinely fascinated with this world and I hope you'll make more.
I have completed your game and I hope you will add more languages so that a larger audience can enjoy your masterpiece. Games like this give hope that the gaming industry is evolving in the right direction. I look forward to more of your projects🥹
I loved the atmosphere very much, if there was a series about such a subject, I would definitely watch it. You thought of it very well, the subject was very good.
Hello! Your game is really great and very atmospheric and I wish it would have lasted longer. Iwishyousuccessinyournextgames and hope to see something fromyou what donewithheartandsoul as well!)
Btw, mayIask you whatkindofmusicit is andwhat is itsname? I couldn't find it by it's author, but I really really liked sound of this gloomy bass..
Hello! Your project has caught our attention, and we would love to learn more about it. Please reach out to us via email at [email protected]. We’d be happy to discuss a potential partnership!
hello, i want to localize or translate this game (korean). can you make localization file dev? i want to recommend this game korean horror game youtuber! (biggest)
I loooved the booklet! I'm entranced by the characters, the setting, the overall feeling; visually the building and our apartment is fantastic, I love how warm and messy it feels. The story/setting are GREAT. I can tell there is a lot of love here!!
I would love to see more games in a similar setting or world, I am so intrigued by the Church and what they are up to - as well as the mines. Maybe something of similar length, as a sort of prequel to the substance in the mines? I would love to see the perspective of a member of the church or a factory worker, maybe a resident of the building who didn't return.
Do you post any of your world building anywhere? Or is it just the game and booklet for now? I'd even love short stories in the setting, game or no. :)
Yooo, in that dream (day 3 to 4) sequence I almost missed the NIGHT NOTEBOOK on a table there WHICH WOULD BE A SHAME, 'cause stuff in there... actually gave me the chills.
Overall, the attention to details is insane. You can even make coffe in the morning! I loved everything about this project and I need more...
The game is really interesting. It has an interesting plot, incredible atmosphere and a pace that, despite being slow, helps to create the whole atmosphere of apocalyptic horror that the game requires. ALL ENDINGS HERE:
Very nice. I went in blind and didn't know what to expect. Lurking around the flat at night, frantically reaching for the light switch gave me the chills. I have experienced two endings, but i'm still not sure either one of those were "good" endings as the game told me to review my choices or something like that after i was done. Dunno if i want to explore it more or leave it be. I'm kind of enjoying this suspenseful bittersweet aftertaste.
PS: I wish the city had some ambient sounds, like trams passing by etc. Being out on the balcony felt like stepping into a void. Not sure if it's a good thing or not. Other than that the game is perfect. Thank you!
Thanks! There are only two endings, the one where you inform the Church is a better one for the main character but there's not really any good scenario for the rest of the residents :')
Yeah the sound design is just not my strong suit... Something to work on in the future projects haha
Wow, what a great game. The attention-to-detail with regards to majority of the items on display here is staggering. The sound design, the characters, the lore all build to this fully realised, depressing, cramped interior likened to an 80's style eastern European bloc. It all feels very 1984, with Cthulhu-esque vibes.
The story heightens the tension with The Church and the mysterious liquid that seems to have been discovered in the mines. When you download this game you also get a PDF booklet that explains more of the lore, and I for one want to experience more of this world.
Congrats on making a true gem of an indie slow-build body horror game. Definitely going to look out for future projects from you!
I launched the game last night and literally 7-10 minutes were enough for me to feel the vibe of the atmosphere of this game. This is the case when it’s not about the graphics, but about the conveyed atmosphere and as a person who likes Sh4 The Room, this game will clearly appeal to you. I will continue to play and thank you very much!
Thank you! I myself cannot wait to make some exterior environments and more varied sceneries... I'll definitely work on more Funeralopolis related projects in the future
Just... Wow. I can't describe how great this game is. How i understand you'll be releasing smaller games that will cover the lore and different time periods of this world? Because I'm so impressed and I need more. And also, if I’m not getting ahead of myself, is there a major project planned for the future in this universe that will even be on Steam?
You got yourself a new follower, What a great Atmosferic Horror game. I loved it all, especially the graphics and the music, really beautiful. Can't wait for more project like this.
Was really impressed with your game! Such a good spoopy story and loved the old school low poly graphics. Will definitely be watching for more great games from you:)
This is one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a long time. I'm usually not the fan of horror genre since it's often full of screamers and sudden noises, but this is not the "traditional" horror - and I like it. Visual style, story, music and the whole atmoshere make the game into a really unique experience. 10/10 for me. Really hope to see more in this setting!
Also, if you ever need it translated to Norwegian and/or Ukrainian, I'll be more than happy to be of help :)

Hello! Your game is really great and very atmospheric and I wish it would have lasted longer. I wish you success in your next games and hope to see something from you what done with heart and soul as well!)
Btw, may I ask you what kind of music it is and what is its name? I couldn't find it by it's author, but I really really liked sound of this gloomy bass..
Hi! You can find the OST on the developer's youtube channel, here,
there are credits in the description! That name goes so hard dude... "Funeralopolis: Last Days"? Wow...
We've really come a long way as a forlorn species since the invention of "Necropolis".
very good, very interesting. I'm waiting for more !
This was an amazing experience
5 Stars

i just have one question
.....oh.. took me an embarrassingly long time to get what's wrong with this sentence lmao
i really liked seeing it, it made my day and felt like a piece of the narrative
game was 10/10, would love to see more like this in the future
I agree - it feels like when you know what you want to say but fail to do so.

Really a great game that brings memories of the 80s. I’d love to go outside and wander around the neighborhood, though. Hope you'll cook up a sequel.
