Cute stoats, fun game mechanic. Maybe with two spawn points could be a bit better so the player cant hover around the bush and catch a high ammount of stoats with low effort. Overall a good game.
That would be a neat implementation for a future version, good idea!
I enjoyed playing this game; I especially liked the way the music amped up as sunset got closer, accompanied by the stoats moving more erratically. My first attempt wasn't great, around 40 stoats, but when I discovered you could just hover around the bush and snatch them up as soon as they spawned I caught about twice as many, nearly 100. I can safely say I've never caught that many stoats IRL.
lol, glad you enjoyed the game! That last part of your comment was hilarious!
Stoats are looking cute! Good job!
another mustelid game!! :))
nice game! :)
Thanks for playing!
The stoat sprite is so adorable 🥺.
The sprite work was really pretty, just wish the background was a bit less bland than a solid color.
The music (and color) changing when the sun is about to set is a really nice touch!
Gameplay-wise the hand collision is a bit too big, you can stay in the grass tile and catch most stoats and I'm missing a restart button. However the game is simple and solid.
Overall good job, keep at it you two! :)
Thanks for playing! I've adjusted the collision and added a restart button.
I like the game idea. The collision box of hand and stoats was a bit big so you collect them without visually really touching them. Also maybe add a counter for already collected stoats so you can compare to your highscore while replaying. Replay value will be increased this way. Sound effects feel quite rewarding and music getting faster is awesome haha :D.
Thanks for playing! I adjusted the collision box. I haven't set a collection counter because my goal was to leave it a mystery until you finish the round, it's always more surprising (or frustrating) that way when you see your final score. I still might add it if more folks mention it.
