  • Everything about this was fantastic. Not overly challenging but just enough to be engaging. Great, relaxing music and atmosphere. Set design is awesome. The last puzzle with the balloon took me a bit to figure out and was very rewarding to get the hang of.
  • I wish there was an option to zoom into the screen. I like the ascetic of the screen, but options are nice to have. Really cool concept. Feels more like a take on classic game shark/ game genie as opposed to corruptions though. I seriously think though that expanding on this game idea outside of the game jam might be worth it. More cheat carts, different games, different combos of cheat carts. Possibilities here are kind of endless.
  • This was so, SO awesome! Well done! If you want to pursue it, and a few of us think this is a concept worth pursuing, PLEASE make this a full game! This could easily be a Steam demo right now, and it's insane that you got this done in a week. This was a perfect 5/5 across the board for me. Everything from the gameplay to the concept to the art to the music and more were just so spot on. Thanks for participating and good luck with your future endeavors!

How does your submission fit the jam's theme?

Thanks! I managed to crank out that whole environment in one day o.O

Nice little puzzle platformer! I did find the balloon rose very slowly while I was on it unless there was something I missed, but that's a nitpick. Great environment outside of the "in-game game" too!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the ballon at the end is definitely a bit janky. Thank you so much!

Man, what a cozy game! The execution of the computer elements was really well done, and the music was great. I encountered a some minor bugs, like the character not dying properly when touching enemys but those were very rare. I wonder though: I reached the mean guy and shot him, and nothing happened. Did I miss something, or is that how the game ends? Anyway, it was a really cool experience!

Thank  you so much! You're supposed to hop in the tree, like the other guys , but all you missed was an ending message :] maybe I should've put a coin there or something

Wow this computer thing is so well done. I love the cartrage system so unique!. you should make it so you can slam them in / throw them out by dragging the mouse would be really fun I think.

I found a minor bug if you want to fix it that may prevent you from finishing the game

When you are trying to lift the balloon out of the hole  with the line of coins above it, i fell into the balloon pit and could not get out

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and reviewing! Drag and drop cartridges following the mouse was considered but scrapped for time. Also, thanks for catching that softlock! I just uploaded a new build fixing that plus some missing sounds.
