How does your game fit the theme?
In video games, "Scaling" can refer to an increase in challenge. In clusterchef, you must build up your restaurant in preperation for an ever increasing menu - I.E. Make sure your restaurant is "Built (Designed) to Scale (Get bigger)"

Incredibly fun and at the same time stressful; it’s challenging to complete each score. Great Pixel art and the music complements the gameplay very well.

Absolutely fantastic - highly stressful in the best possible way, as all cooking games should be! The game scales really well, with the simple recipes being easy enough to memorise but the ever expanding list of ingredients and equipment quickly making it easy to screw yourself over with poor placement of dispensors or by leaving prepped items in just the wrong place. I found the short runs really worked in the games favour here, failure never felt too frustrating and I always felt the urge for one more try

Thanks also for including control mapping options - I really appreciated it, not often you see it in jam games but makes this a lot more approachable for me :)

Also wanted to comment on the recipe notes, which were highly entertaining each time. I always looked forward to a new run hoping I'd survive just long enough to see the next!

This is such an addictive game, my god! It hits the exact same notes as Overcooked! So while it does lose some points in originality, it more than sufficiently makes up for it in execution. I was constantly on my toes, trying to survive the night. Initially it was extremely hard and I raged UNTIL I got to know that you can change the placement of the ingredients between each day (I think this was a bit unclear in the tutorial somehow.. maybe some text would help). Once I figured that out, I managed to get as far as the bolognese. Here’s some minor nitpicks:

  • Occasionally, the collisions would break and I could place ingredients on top of other ingredients without them combining, or I could serve a dish and it’d just chill on the table.

  • The placement system is a tad too finnicky. Its almost there, but feels like slight adjustments are necessary.

  • The main menu is broken once you lose a game and try to restart.

The difficulty overall is definitely quite high for a jam game. But I would be lying if I said I didn’t have a blast! Nicely done.

Awesome pixel art! We love the color palette! Really creative take on the theme! Good job!

Fun game with a great use of the theme. The scaling was a bit harsh, as even if you missed no orders you could still fail. I also found two small bug, after going bankrupt the menu buttons stopped working, the other is that sometimes placing food on the table wouldn't complete the order.

Very nice minimalistic overcooked with building, loved the pixel art and the pacing.

Very good use of the theme!  I feel like it would've been a lot less frustrating to manage if i didn't have to be so precise with that "interaction square." I found myself constantly missing something or it pointing at something else.  However looking past that, the execution is very well done, the art is great, and it's a fun game!

It felt like I couldnt keep up at all with the scaling. I also didnt realize that I could rearrange my kitchen in time. I would have loved to be able to rearrange 1 additional piece of furniture after every evening perhaps. But overall, super fun! Nicely fitting music, it clicked very well. Sometimes the game was slightly buggy and it put the food on the table but it didnt instantly count for the progression so i had to pick it back up again and place it down again.
Really solid!

Really cool, loved building my kitchen out and realising there was better placements a bit too late. The scaling was a little harsh unfortunately but the parts I could complete were really fun! I also really liked the feeling of getting an order in just as the time ran out and getting that extra money into my excess! Great work, keep it up!

I love how the game kind of forces you to make a mess of your kitchen to reach the daily goals. I think it's a bit too hard right now, but I found it very fun

the game is super fun, but the difficulty should be less, the game is too difficult, we can't pass the third screen. Also there is a bug that doesn't allow to replay after going back to the menu screen.

but honestly, this game is great.
