In what way does your game fit the theme?
You have to "rewind" a robot using a winding key to keep him operation and solve puzzles.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all of the code myself.
Friends helped out on the Artwork/Sounds/Music.
All the assets/animations/materials are mainly from the Unity Asset Store and Adobe Maximo

I think you nailed the theme in a unique way. Pretty fun ^^

Cool game, i really liked the concept. But theme isnt good. srry. But keep it up. Try to improve and publish this game :D

Developer

Thanks for playing. No need to be sorry. This was an experiment to see if the gameplay itself was fun. Hope it was :D

This game is a great mashup of Tron and billiards, with a fun wind-up toy thrown in. I really like how the walls in the facility act like the diamonds on a billiards table, so if can do your angle calculations (or if you have spent some time with "Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land"--do kids in schools still watch that?) you can figure out how to solve the puzzle. Gameplay was smooth and intuitive. I wanted Err to succeed in his mission, so the game had me interested enough to keep playing. Thanks for the fun!

I enjoyed playing around with the ricochet mechanics! A little nitpick of mine would be the aim indicator of the player which would not accurately represent whether the disk would bounce off or not. Regardless, this game is great and you should be proud!

I hear you 100% and that's something I definitely want to fix and make it better. Thanks for playing!

This game is amazing! The graphics and sound are on point and the gameplay is fun. I have two suggestions on how you could improve this. Firstly, I think more visual cues for the various buttons and other controls on the walls would be nice. Secondly, if you plan to work on this game any further, perhaps in one of the later levels, try making a time-based puzzle which involves trying to leave before Err needs to be rewound again, that way the game would be slightly more true to the theme. Great job eitherway!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm with you. I need to make it more apparent at what is interactive and what is just window decoration.  I actually thought about something similar to your idea which I posted about it here :D https://prodigalson.itch.io/rewinder/devlog/169302/thank-you-for-playing-my-game Thanks again! :D

The concept of the game is very good, as well as this amazing music !

Nothing to say, you have made a very good game !

Thank you and thanks for playing

The game is fun and the design and audio suited the game very well. The puzzles were fun and made for some interesting level design with the bouncing disc. I do feel that the rewind mechanic didn't fit very well into the game and was more of a nuisance but overall good submission!

Developer

Thank you for playing. :D

Cool audio design!, the puzzles were interesting and just making the disc bounce around was fun, I liked the idea, but the rewind mechanic was a bit easy to just completely ignore, because you could just keep pressing space and any time you don't move the rewind of the robot will fill again. That said I enjoyed the game. Nice job!

Congratulations on finishing your game! I really liked it.

The take on the theme is definitely innovative.

The music and graphics really suit the game and I loved the pun with Err.

I did think the rewinding yourself mechanic didn't mix in well with the gameplay, it was more of a thing you had to do from time to time and it didn't feel satisfying, although nice sound effects.

Overall good job!

Enjoyed the physics and graphics. Was awesome to play. I think you might need to look at the hit boxes of some of the chargers in the wall, but apart from that, it was a pleasure to play!

Developer

Go it. Thanks for playing! :D

Love the bounciness physics application! the sound effect also really suit the game

It feels great to throw the disc around and I love the sound effects! The rewind mechanic looks kind of shoehorned in though. It would be interesting if it was in any way relevant to the disc-throwing, because as it stands it's just a button you have to hold every now and then.

Developer

Thanks for playing!  That was the main goal with this prototype. To make it feel great to throw and recall it. I created this post to help explain more as to why the theme was interpreted the way it was: https://prodigalson.itch.io/rewinder/devlog/169302/thank-your-for-playing-my-gam...

Great game design, clearly a lot of thought went into the mechanics of the game. Loved the music and sound effects and had fun playing a few levels.

Developer

Thank you. I mainly focused on making it fun and responsive to control the player. Hopefully it shows.
Thanks for playing!

I love the game, but I feel like the rewinding was added just to fit the theme, and it doesn't really add value to the game. I think it would be a lot better without it. Other than that, 5/5.

Developer

Oh, wow! Thanks and thank you for playing! :D Was there anything in specific you liked the most? It would help me to know how to continue working on this title.

I love how you can bounce the shield against the walls to solve puzzles! Amazingly done!

Developer

I like how you called it a shield though it is not currently that is the direction I am heading towards. :D
Thanks for playing!
