Playing fancade games on itch.io

Taking a look at my games, a lot of these are games from play.fancade.com and the fancade app on the App Store, google play, and the amazon App Store

I’m just here to provide a tutorial on how to upload fancade games on itch.io

Note:You will need to use fancade to create the game. Also keep in mind that while you can use the inspect tool to get the games code and make it web-based. HTML web-based games on itch.io only support the game if an index.html file is somewhere located in the game(Usually if the file is named “index.html”). There are several tutorials for that online.

1.Create and publish your game on fancade

2.Use the “Share” Feature. On play.fancade.com, a url you can copy and paste is shown on the share screen. On the fancade app, use your notes app to share, so you get the url in your notes app.

3.Copy and paste the url

4.Create your games itch.io page, and click “External file”

5.Paste the URL in the url tickbox for the file box. You can choose to label it anything you wish, but per itch.io’s guidelines in misrepresentation of a type of file(For example:A game that says it is a Windows executable, but is actually a mac executable), it is recommended you label the file “Source Code”.

6.Click Save, and customize the page of your game. It’s highly recommended you click the “Download” button on your game to test if it works or not.  If not, try turning off any pop-up blocker restrictions. The download button should have a “External” label next to it.

These are instructions on how to release your fancade games on itch.io. Remember, if you are uploading from another device, or from the fancade app, your account data won’t carry, so you’ll need to back your data up on the app, and log in and load that on play.fancade.com. Once this is done, you can then carry save data between the app, the website, and itch.io.
