Barcus has more than 26 years of executive leadership experience in the entrepreneurial and technology communities in Iowa. His primary work has been as a managing partner in seed and growth stage investment companies, as well as business and corporate development, capitalization strategies and execution, and technology transfer. He has provided strategic, managerial, and board level assistance to dozens of early and growth stage companies in Iowa through his executive positions at Iowa Seed Capital Corporation, Emerging Growth Group, Iowa Innovation Corporation, and through a private consulting practice. Barcus has developed seamless state-wide relationships with the private, public, and educational sectors of the state. He resides in Des Moines, and is a graduate of Iowa State University.
