The Enterprise Innovation Institute is Georgia Tech’s economic development arm, comprised of more than a dozen programs. It’s the largest and most comprehensive university-based program of its kind in the United States. Its core focus areas include entrepreneurship and startup development, business and industry growth, ecosystem development, and international outreach.
Through the Enterprise Innovation Institute, Georgia Tech encourages statewide economic development and plays a significant role in the state’s innovation ecosystem. Enterprise Innovation Institute staff and faculty working in 12 locations across Georgia serve all 159 counties. In 2023, Enterprise Innovation Institute programs worked with 5.8K+ clients to create or save 47,000 jobs, secure $5.1 billion in capital investments, win $2.3 billion in contracts and sales, and protect 28,000 Georgians from workplace hazards. As a group, the Enterprise Innovation Institute helped generate an economic impact return of $406 for every dollar received from federal and state appropriations in 2023.
