The 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend will bring basketball’s brightest stars to Indianapolis, marking a historic moment for the city and the league.
The Indiana Fever announced the logo and host committee chairs for the highly anticipated event, set to take place in July at Gainbridge Fieldhouse downtown.
This will be only the first time Indianapolis hosts the WNBA All-Star Game.
WNBA champion and Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings thinks the Circle City is the perfect host for WNBA All-Star.
“Indianapolis has a proud tradition of hosting world-class sporting events, and we are thrilled to welcome the WNBA All-Star Weekend back to our city,” Catchings said. “This is a chance to celebrate the league’s growth and the incredible impact of women’s basketball.”
Additionally, Catchings served as a lead ambassador during the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Recorder joins 2025 WNBA All-Star Host Committee
The logo, unveiled by the WNBA on Jan. 12, reflects the city’s iconic skyline and celebrates the WNBA’s vibrant culture. The design incorporates the league’s signature orange and white colors with a modern twist, symbolizing progress and unity.
The host committee, which guides the planning and execution of the event, includes prominent Indianapolis leaders and community members.
Two notable members include President and CEO of Recorder Media Group Robert Shegog and Senior Sports Reporter of the Indianapolis Recorder Noral Parham III.
“Serving on the 2025 WNBA All-Star Host Committee is an honor,” Shegog said. “This event is an opportunity to highlight the amazing talent within the WNBA and to showcase Indianapolis as a hub for sports and culture.”
Fans look forward to a packed weekend of activities beyond the All-Star Game itself. Events include fan experiences, community engagement initiatives and opportunities, celebrating the league’s achievements.
