Runar was the leader of a tribe of humans that lived during the ice age.

Biography

Compassionate, wise, strong and stoic, Runar led a small tribe of humans through valleys and forests, his wife Nadia and their son Roshan among those in his tribe.

Early Life

Runar had led the hunting party that wiped out half a pack of Saber-Tooth Tigers led by named Soto. Runar and his tribe after used the saber-tooth skins as clothing. These acts prompted an angry Soto to take revenge on him.

Camp

Runar and his tribe stopped to make camp near a waterfall, where he watched over his infant son Roshan with his wife Nadia, as the baby attempted to walk. Runar held his wife and son close, as they were the most beloved people in his life, embracing them. Unbeknownst to Runar, however, Soto was watching over the humans and plotting his retribution. Soto, Diego and other tigers attacked the camp with the intent on killing Roshan. Runar survives the attack, but Nadia and Roshan were chased off a cliff by Diego, separating them.

Manny and Sid eventually found Roshan and he was reunited with Runar, who rewards Manny with a necklace.
