Ice Age 6 is an upcoming American computer-animated adventure comedy film set to be released in 2026.[2] It will serve as a sequel to Ice Age: Collision Course (2016), the sixth main installment, and the seventh overall installment in the Ice Age film series. It will be the first theatrical Ice Age film not to be produced by Blue Sky Studios, following its closure on April 10, 2021.
Ice Age 6 is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 18, 2026.

- Ray Romano as Manny, a woolly mammoth and the leader of the Herd.
- John Leguizamo as Sid, a ground sloth and the founder of the Herd.
- Denis Leary as Diego, a saber-tooth tiger and the co-leader of the Herd.
- Queen Latifah as Ellie, a female woolly mammoth and Manny's wife.
- Simon Pegg as Buck, a one-eyed weasel and a dinosaur hunter.
- Chris Wedge (presumably) as Scrat, a saber-toothed squirrel.
- Kari Wahlgren as Baby Scrat, a baby saber-toothed squirrel and Scrat's son.
Production[]
While promoting The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, the Disney+ PR page revealed that another Ice Age movie is in development at 20th Century Animation (however it is also possible this may be a separate film, as it is mentioned as being a streaming movie for Disney+). In September 2024, while making a guest appearance on the Wait Wait…Don't Tell Me! podcast, John Leguizamo (voice actor of Sid the Sloth) suggested that a sixth main Ice Age film could be in development.
On November 8, 2024 it was officially revealed by Disney that Ice Age 6 is in the works and the main cast consisting of Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie and Buck would be returning.[2] Scrat and Baby Scrat are also presumably set to return (though it is unknown if Chris Wedge will reprise his role as Scrat, as he now works at Annapurna Animation). Buck Wild and Scrat Tales composer, Batu Sener has also alluded to his involvement with the sequel on his official "X" account.[4]

- This is the first theatrical Ice Age film to not be disturbed by Blue Sky Studios due to the shutdown of the studio in April 2021.
- This is the first theatrical Ice Age film to not be released in March or July.
- This film will be presumably released on the 20th anniversary of 2006's Ice Age: The Meltdown, and the 10th anniversary of 2016's Ice Age: Collision Course.
- This will be the first 20th Century Studios animated film to get a theatrical release since The Bob's Burgers Movie in 2022.
- It is unknown whether Chris Wedge will return to presumably voice Scrat or not, considering he is now working at Annapurna Animation which had revived Nimona (2023) after it had been initially cancelled following the closure of Blue Sky Studios.
- Ice Age is the first computer-animated film franchise to become a hexalogy.
