- Vedaprofen belongs to a class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Vedaprofen blocks an enzyme (cyclo-oxygenase) that is involved in the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are substances that trigger pain, swelling and inflammation.
