Can't say I really processed the order until we'd been dismissed and sent to prepare. Just like that, we were told to pack up and move out. A "strategic retreat." Next stop... the Reno line.
And what then? While we buy ourselves a little more time, 200 miles behind us, LA will be crumbling to the ground. All of it. Every block and building and poor soul caught between em. But, hell, what am I meant to do about it? Do I get mad, refuse to comply? Take on the whole goddamn plague myself?
How do we go through with this? How can we live with ourselves knowing we're just going to turn our backs and let the city die?
