Dunehollow is an Old World site in Horizon Forbidden West, located underneath the Hidden Ember in the Stillsands.
History[]
The Hot Zone crisis, a period of civil unrest and conflict caused by catastrophic global warming, was disastrous to the city of Las Vegas. However, the city was given a second chance by Stanley Chen, an entrepreneur who himself had earned a second chance from the city at his lowest point.
In 2040, Chen began construction of the Fountain, a massive dome covering the Las Vegas Strip to protect it from the rising heat, helping it to retain the scarce water and restore a city on the brink of extinction.

Trivia[]
- Dunehollow contains the ruins of what the Old Ones' called the Las Vegas Strip.[1] Several locations are recognizable from real-life buildings on the strip, such as the remains of the Eiffel Tower replica located in front of the Paris Las Vegas hotel. However, there are many more ruins based on real locations from the Las Vegas Strip (which can be recognized by its shape or from Vista Points Dunehollow and The Stillsands), such as Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, Horseshoe Las Vegas (then Bally's), The Strat, or even The Mirage.
