Overview[]
Writing[]
There are eight credited writers on Season 7: Spencer Gilbert, Dan Murrell, Joe Starr, Andy Signore, Max Landis, Brett Weiner, Jason Mathews and Jonathan Miceli. However, like Season 6, the regular writing team of Spencer Gilbert, Dan Murrell, Joe Starr and Andy Signore were the primary writers. Co-creater Brett Weiner came back to write on one episode (Batman v. Superman) simply because he had such strong opinions on the film, while professional screenwriter Max Landis also collaborated on one episode (again, Batman v. Superman).
Milestones[]
- Guest appearances/collaborations: Warcraft featuring MatPat of popular YouTube channel Game Theory.
- First time viewer comments were disabled on an Honest Trailers video: Ghostbusters (2016). This decision was made in response to the overwhelmingly negative response to the film -- even before its release. Screen Junkies did indeed pan the film, but not for the reasons haters on the internet wanted them to.
- First extended editions of Honest Trailers released on Screen Junkies Plus: Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad.
- First celebrity co-writer: professional screen-writer Max Landis on Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

- 2016 The Streamy Awards: Spencer Gilbert, Joe Starr, Dan Murrell & Andy Signore - 'Best Writing' (Winner)
