It was written by Spencer Gilbert, Dan Murrell, Joe Starr, Lon Harris and Danielle Radford. It was narrated by Jon Bailey as Epic Voice Guy. Taking the form of a career retrospective episode, it parodies the 10 films directed by Quentin Tarantino during his career, from Reservoir Dogs (1992) to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). It also features a parody song with music by Matt Citron and vocals by Annie Worden and Matt Citron. The video is 8 minutes 23 seconds long. It was published on January 7, 2020. Enter a world of classic cinema and attention deficient disorder, where the smoke is heavy, the voices are gravely [shows characters with gravely voices], and everyone is always hungry. [shows all the characters mentioning/eating food]
Experience all three phases of QT’s career. The critically-acclaimed crime trilogy [Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown], the “I’m just gonna make 70’s movies” phase [Kill Bill: Volumes 1 and 2 and Death Proof], the really long one [The Hateful Eight] [shows a long clip from Hateful Eight], and the revisionist history revenge flicks. [shows all pop culture references that are now dated] When they suffer a horrible injustice, they’ll put on a cool outfit, drive around talking, drive around listening to music, and drive around talking while listening to music. [“Want me to s*ck your c*ck while driving?”] Then thrill as they go undercover, and find themselves on a high stakes conversation. Where someone is not who they say they are, until the whole thing turns into one big standoff, and everything gets bathed in more blood than an Addams Family school play. Revel in this one-of-a-kind filmmaker's brilliant dialogue, [Jules: "ENGLISH, MOTHERF*CKER! DO YOU SPEAK IT?!"] sharply drawn characters (Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction, Stuntman Mike from Death Proof, Beatrix Kiddo from Kill Bill and Hans Landa from Inglourious Basterds), timeless soundtracks.. in that the songs aren’t from the same era as the movie. So salute a living legend, who made some of the best films of a generation.. while influencing some of the worst films of a generation [Smokin' Aces, 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead, 2 Days in the Valley, American Strays, Way of the Gun, Suicide Kings & Reindeer Games]. But, he gave women and black people amazing badass characters to cheer for.. (Beatrix Kiddo from Kill Bill, Django Freeman from Django Unchained, Jackie Brown, Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction, and Abernathy Ross from Death Proof) and he also gave a bunch of white guys an n-word pass. [shows every white guy saying the n-word] But, he matured in one of the best filmmakers in Hollywood history.. but, it’s thanks to the tireless work of one of the worst people in Hollywood history. [The Weinstein Company] But, one thing’s always been clear, uncontroversial and unanimous about Quentin Tarantino. This man. Loves. A good. Foot.

- In the Honest Trailers Commentary, the writers noted that some people involved in the video's production doubted whether there would be enough shots of feet to justify the entire length of the "Foot Song."

Honest Trailers - Every Quentin Tarantino Movie has a 98.0% approval rating from YouTube viewers. Multiple media commentators highlighted Screen Junkies' video for being respectful to Quentin Tarantino's skills while simultaneously poking fun at the many tropes he frequently utilizes. For example, The Awesomer wrote "Screen Junkies tosses barbs at QT’s cinematic universe and numerous obsessions, while still appreciating the greatness of his work." In his write-up on the Honest Trailer, Charles Barfield of The Playlist noted:
Sure, the video also takes aim at Tarantino’s insistence on including obscure pop culture references, criminal heroes, and other tropes that he seems to rely on quite a bit, but the Screen Junkies have created an Honest Trailer that is, at once, reverential of one of the best living filmmakers while also making sure they don’t take it too easy on him.
