Confirm Sync | Yext Hitchhikers Platform
To help protect against errors when launching listings, there are certain situations when user approval is required before Yext will start publishing data to Listings. For Listings that require approval, users can use the “Confirm Sync” button to approve the connection:
Causes
Category Mismatch

Applicable Publishers: Google
Trigger: When the entity primary category in the platform and the entity primary category on the listing differ. Yext will still sync all other fields to Google other than category if this block occurs. Note that changing your primary category on Google may result in your listing entering a reverification state. In the absence of a bulk verified account, this will require a manual re-verification step to become synced.
Coordinate Mismatch
Applicable Publishers: Google, Facebook
Trigger: If the coordinates of the entity address and the listing address are greater than 250 meters from each other.
High-Engagement Facebook Page
Applicable Publishers: Facebook
Trigger: When a Facebook page has more than 1,000 likes.
Name Mismatch
Applicable Publishers: Google, Facebook
Trigger: When the entity name in the platform and the entity name on the listing differ greatly. Yext will normalize both names and compare them using Gestalt pattern matching.
Pending Verification Block
Applicable Publishers: Google
Trigger: When the listing has pending verification tasks.
