Haruta Kamijou (上条 春太 Kamijō Haruta) is a first year high school student and Chika Homura's childhood friend. He is a horn player who has a perfect outward appearance and a clear mind. He and Chika are both attracted to their band teacher, Mr. Shinjirō Kusakabe, which often creates tension between them.
