Humans in the Loop: The Artful Design of Interactive AI Systems
How might the shaping of technology make our lives richer and more meaningful? This presentation will be a journey through the design of everyday tools, musical instruments, social experiences, and human-in-the-loop AI systems where, specific to each situation, we strive to find the appropriate balance between automation and meaningful human interaction. Through an artful design lens, the larger question posed is both practical and philosophical: how do we want to live with artificial intelligence?
