People are laughing about how infeasible this is. It seems obviously the kind of thing you could solve via a decentralized blockchain for carbon credits, similarly to Gwern’s CO2 Coin. Proof-of-paint can be determined via sat images with public APIs. gwern.net/co2-coin
So it looks like science just solved global warming? nytimes.com/2023/07/12/clima…

Some common mental failure mode exists where a partial solution is regarded with more contempt than a solution that accomplishes nothing Many find relief in Doom mentality, where they feel no need to act for all is in vain. Solutions threaten them with individual responsibility

That but also... It doesn't need to be the full solution. Coat 0.267% of the surface with it, build nuclear plants, electrify some stuff, throw some sulfur into the stratosphere or whatever. People laughing about the infeasibility of certain solutions are also guilty of thinking that every solution has to be a silver bullet.

sulphur aerosols seem even better because it only lasts a couple of years so you can monitor the data and refine the quantities and other parameters
The paint would get covered indoors dust over time so you could just stop cleaning it.

tbh could probably use a simple tax credit too

Using blockchain for that would be pretty ironic.

You don't get it. Its manipulated data. Proof is in, they will never apply solutions that will work. They'll cry about fossil fuels then turn a blind eye to nuclear energy as a replacement. "Temperatures are rising". did God tell them temperatures are supposed to be stable.
