The Street Race Series is a series of Land Races featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Los Santos Tuners update, released on July 20, 2021.
Description[]
The races are available for 2 to 8 players and the default lap count is 3, although the lobby host can set the duration up to 99 laps. The host can also choose to include custom vehicles or not; however, only vehicles from the Tuner Race Class may be selected.
The events behave similarly to normal land races, with a few differences. There is now paint on the ground marking the starting line and the grid, as well as a person starting the race with a unique animation. There are also many spectators around the entire circuit, along with their parked cars; crashing into these will not incur any penalties other than lost time.
Each race has a number of secondary routes, which serve as shortcuts. These paths can shave seconds off the player's lap time, although they are usually harder to manoeuvre than the main route. These shortcuts mostly include alleyways, uneven city streets, off-road paths, or narrow passages.

Reputation[]
Participating in a Street Race will reward the player with 50 LS Car Meet Reputation (75 first time), although this has a 24-hour cooldown before it is awarded again. Finishing a race will also grant the player reputation depending on their finishing position and the total number of racers in the event.
