Paparazzi Purge is a mission in Grand Theft Auto III given to protagonist Claude by Yakuza co-leader Asuka Kasen from her condominium located in the Newport district of Staunton Island, Liberty City.
Mission[]
Claude drops by Asuka's condo and finds a letter left by Asuka saying that a reporter has been spying on them and that she and Maria have taken a little holiday together until he is dealt with. Informed that the reporter is on the bay, Claude steals a police boat and starts chasing the target as well as attacking him with the Predator's machine guns. After a chase around the quiet waters of the city, he manages to blow up the boat, killing the reporter within.

In order to complete the mission the player must:
- Steal the police boat.
- Take out the reporter and destroy his boat.

- Reporter - Killed by Claude under the orders of Asuka Kasen for peeping around into the Yakuza's business for too long.
Reward[]
The reward for passing this mission is $10,000 and the mission Payday For Ray becomes available.

Trivia[]
- The reporter will drive his boat across the Staunton and Portland island before coming back to Portland, after which he will run upstairs and steal a car, prompting a chase. As such, it is recommended that he is eliminated while on the boat. However, while on the boat, the reporter will not take crash damage. A video of this can be seen here.
- The player doesn't need to steal the police boat and use it to destroy the reporter's boat to finish the mission; instead, if the player has a sniper rifle, they can use it to destroy the boat. This can be seen here.
