The Jetski is a single-seat water vehicle featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Design[]
The Jetski appears to draw design elements from many old jet ski models, such as the Sea Doo 580 and the Kawasaki JS 650. Interestingly, unlike conventional jet skis, the vehicle has a front skid, which appears to emulate the Wetbike.
The Jetski is depicted with a generally rounded design, featuring a small hull that is reinforced with black/plastic trim on the outer portions and a small skid on the front area.
The bow/front area has an elevated storage with a protruding section in the center, followed by the steering handlebar for the single occupant. The stern/rear area features a flat platform and a top deck housing a square-shaped exit vent on the rear, as well as black seats with capacity for the single occupant on top. The rear end of the hull houses a single nozzle for propulsion.
The boat usually spawns in a white primary color for most of the body with black stripes in the center of the front section, while the stern area and top deck are painted with the secondary color.
Performance[]
The Jetski has a very high top speed, making it good for water stunts and police chases on the water. Like any boat, if the Jetski gets stuck on land, it needs to be manually pushed back into water.
The Jetski is like an aquatic motorbike of sorts: if the player crashes at high speed, they are propelled off the vehicle, the player can shift their body weight forwards and backwards, and forward drive-bys can be done while driving the vehicle. The Jetski becomes harder to control when the water is choppy, causing the vehicle to severely oversteer and/or understeer.
The vehicle is powered by a single inboard engine, powering a small impeller that sends the water through the small nozzle on the stern, creating a water jet that propels the vessel forward. Unique to this vehicle, it has a relatively high-revving engine sound, which is somewhat muffled.
