Not to be confused with Classic, a car in the first Grand Theft Auto.
Classique is a vehicle manufacturer in the HD Universe of the Grand Theft Auto series.
Description[]
Classique manufactured classic coupes. Their only vehicles are the Stallion and the later appearing Broadway, both resembling Oldsmobile coupes. The Stallion is classed as a Declasse vehicle in Grand Theft Auto V, despite still featuring Classique badging.
In GTA IV, the police scanner refers to the Declasse Sabre GT as the "Classique Sabre GT", likely owing to its Oldsmobile design influence.
Grand Theft Auto V[]
Classique was intended to appear in the original version of Grand Theft Auto V, as the Classique logo and name in the police scanner audio are found in the game files, however the brand goes unused. The badge later appears on the Stallion which was added in the enhanced version of the game, however the car still uses the Declasse brand on the HUD and in the police scanner audio.
Influence[]
Classique is likely based on the defunct Oldsmobile ("classic" being a play on "old"), as the Stallion from Grand Theft Auto IV and from mobile versions of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars has a lot of influence from Oldsmobiles. The logo is somewhat based on the Saturn Corporation logo (also somewhat similar to the Oldsmobile logo), but the border is a circle and the center has a loop that mimics the first C in "Classique" from the Stallion's grille.
