Simplifying Complex Requirements
As environmental and regulatory needs increase so do the associated costs, complexities and risks. Accurate, transparent data is essential, making standardized data and visibility across the supply chain crucial.
In response to industry asks, GS1 Canada is enhancing Canada’s largest bilingual product registry, ECCnet Registry, with new attribution and functionality to support sustainability reporting requirements, centralized data management, sharing validated claims or certifications, and other emerging needs. These enhancements will simplify data capture, improve reporting and forecasting, accelerate regulatory compliance and support decision-making in a circular economy.

Certain aluminum beverage containers sold in Quebec must now be identified. Providing this data supports the deposit system and ensures that eligible containers can be returned for a refund.
