As part of its commitment to 100% renewable energy by 2050 General Motors contracted GreenSpark Solar to develop, design, and install a 465kW solar array at its plant in Rochester, NY. GreenSpark received a grant on behalf of GM through the NY-Sun Initiative, which is run by NYSERDA and is part of Governor Cuomo’s commitment to protecting the environment and lowering energy costs for all New Yorkers. The array has over 1,500 panels and 15 inverters. GreenSpark worked with Meridian Solar to develop and construct the project.
