The Herald\u2019s Health Reporting Initiative keeps you informed about local health and wellness news in Snohomish County.<\/p>\n
This journalism project grew out of a need the Herald heard from readers and leaders for more coverage of health equity, mental health, rural healthcare, social and family challenges, homelessness, and substance abuse \u2013 and how these issues are impacted by legislation, medical trends and advances, and the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n
Our dedicated health reporter, in collaboration with other Herald reporters, seeks to cover these topics and more. Our award-winning journalism often sparks change and sets the agenda for public policy debate, but we need your help. <\/p>\n
