I don't want to turn it off always, but it would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut to toggle the internal display.
My current work around is:

Shift F13 -> Connect all displays
Cmd Shift F13 -> Disconnect all displays except main

(F13 is what I mapped my dictation key to)

It would be nice to combine these to have a single keyboard shortcut for toggling the internal display
